Janitorial Service Technician – Day Shift
Looking for a daytime cleaning job with steady weekday hours? ServiceMaster Services is hiring a Service Technician to keep several commercial buildings in downtown Richmond clean, safe and running smoothly. It's a hands-on job where you'll be on the move. You'll travel between sites, handle work orders, check building quality, help train our cleaning teams and fill in when a team member is out. If you like variety and take pride in your work, we'd like to meet you.
Pay & Schedule
- $18 per hour
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Downtown Richmond with travel between nearby client buildings
What You'll Do
- Keep several client buildings clean, safe and secure for the people who work in them
- Respond to and complete customer work orders every day
- Inspect buildings for cleanliness, safety and security, and fix problems on the spot
- Train, coach and motivate janitorial team members
- Fill in for cleaning staff who are out sick or on vacation
- Be a friendly, reliable contact for building occupants and client contacts
What You'll Need
- A valid driver's license, a good driving record (no major offenses in the past 4 years) and a vehicle to use during your shift
- Age 18 or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Reliable attendance, because our clients and team count on you every day
- Clear communication with clients, building occupants and staff
- The ability to work on your own or as part of a team, and to adjust as daily priorities change
- A strong work ethic and a "do whatever it takes" attitude
- The ability to be on your feet your whole shift and to walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull, kneel, crouch and lift
Nice to Have
- Janitorial, custodial or commercial cleaning experience
- Lead or supervisor experience, such as training staff, setting expectations and solving problems
