Emish Market is a Ukrainian grocery store located in Fife, WA, offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. In addition to our market, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, preparing fresh Ukrainian dishes, pastries, and specialty meats daily. Our mission is to create a warm, authentic, and memorable experience for every guest.
We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming shopping experience
- Operate the cash register and process cash, card, and digital payments accurately
- Scan products, weigh items, and ensure pricing is correct
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist customers with questions about products and store services
- Bag groceries carefully and efficiently
- Help restock shelves, coolers, and checkout displays as needed
- Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and loss prevention
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations
Work Schedule: Sun: 10am - 7pm, Thu: 2:30pm - 10:30pm, Fri - Sat: 11am - 9pm
Pay & Compensation: $18 per hour

Required Qualifications
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Availability to work weekends is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Knowledge of Ukrainian or Eastern European products is a plus
