Job Summary & Description:

Empowered Services seeks to build a team ofresponsible,caring,andcompassionateDirectSupportProfessionals (DSP's) in Junction City.AsanEmpoweredServicesDSP, youwillbebuildinglifeskillsandcreatingopportunitieswithour uniquegroup of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)customersandfamilies.


We are a One on One Attendant Care agency, providing Activities of Daily Living and Community Supports for our customers in their own or family homes.

Working oneon onewitheachcustomeryouserve,will allowyoutoassess theirneeds, meet desiredoutcomes,andtendtothemaccordinglywiththegoaloffosteringapositive,encouraging,andsafeenvironment. Our DSPs are our customers helpers, mentors, and advocates.


Junction City: Provider needed for a teenage customer. Active in school and leadership, enjoys cooking. Could use support with emotional regulation and appropriate social behaviors. Lives with nonverbal brother and occasionally needs support when brother becomes dysregulated. Schedule: Monday/Tuesday 3:50 PM - 8:00 or 9:00 PM

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must have 1 or more years of experience in frequent communication and interaction with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities as a Caregiver or DSP, or 2 or more years of experience in a customer service role
  • Must follow and comply with company policies/procedures and the Oregon OARs
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Drivers License with a good driving record
  • Must have full coverage car insurance
  • Must have your own reliable vehicle
  • OIS training Helpful
  • CPR, and equivalent certifications helpful, but not necessary
  • Must have weekend availability


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting pay between $23-25 per hour, depending on experience and certifications
  • Full-Time Employees (30 hours per week and more) are eligible for:

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Be a personal companion to your customers, and act as a supportive friend by serving their needs. Show a good work ethic, and exemplify the values of integrity, honesty, and dependability.
  2. Encourage & foster our customers preferred hobbies, interests, & community connections.
  3. Assist with and work to strengthen our customers many daily living needs, including but not limited to: Nutrition, Hygiene, Exercise, Communication Skills, Social Skills, and Household Chores.
  4. Help our customers in their daily living, behavioral supports, mobility & transportation needs, and work with them to improve their self-reliance and independence.
  5. Create daily schedules, and cooperatively plan for exciting adventures & events in their communities.
  6. Help your customer meet their goals & desired outcomes. Track your customer(s) progress and report feedback to their County Coordinator.
  7. When necessary, report incidents in the HUB and to the County Coordinator immediately (or within 24 hours).
  8. Encourage individual skill development, and work toward community integration
    (drive customers to outings, appointments, meetings, events, etc.).
  9. Develop meaningful relationships and connections with your customer(s). Let's empower them to recognize their voice, worth, and belonging within our community.
  10. Follow all health and safety protocols, and ensure your customers health and safety.
  11. Log and track your time/mileage in the HUB daily, accurately.
  12. Complete the required 24 hours of yearly training, as required by the State, and be open to further certifications as needed.
  13. Be a compassionate, patient, and encouraging support professional at all times. You are a caregiver, cheerleader, and advocate all rolled into one. The work that you will accomplish with your customer(s) will change the lives of many for the better!
