Service Engineer – Rotating Equipment
Location: Lancashire – (Field based)
Salary: Up to £48,000 + optional overtime
Overtime: Weekdays at 1.5x | Sundays at 2x
No on-call rota | Overtime is optional
Role Overview
We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our growing team, supporting clients across Lancashire with the maintenance, repair, and installation of rotating equipment. This is a field-based role offering excellent pay, flexible overtime, and no on-call commitments. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, motors, gearboxes, fans, compressors)
- Carry out routine maintenance, fault finding, and emergency breakdown support
- Install and commission new equipment at client sites
- Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Liaise with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Adhere to health & safety standards and company procedures
- Travel across the Midlands region (company vehicle provided)
About You
- Proven experience working with rotating equipment in industrial or engineering settings
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)
