Job Title: Manufacturing Fabricator

Job Description

This role focuses on operating a variety of metal fabrication equipment, with a primary emphasis on press brake operation, while supporting multiple stages of the manufacturing process. You will work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, building practical experience across several machines and processes. This position is well-suited for individuals who are mechanically inclined, attentive to detail, and eager to learn and grow within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Operate and set up press brake equipment to bend and form metal components according to specifications and work instructions.
Perform hardware insertion using Haeger equipment to ensure proper fit and function of metal assemblies.
Grind and finish metal parts to meet established quality and cosmetic standards.
Operate laser cutting equipment as needed to support production requirements.
Assemble manufactured components and finished products, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Perform shakeout operations and material handling tasks to support efficient production flow.
Tap holes and prepare parts for assembly or additional processing.
Cross-train on and assist with other machines and production processes based on business needs.
Inspect parts using visual inspection and basic measuring tools to verify quality and accuracy.
Follow quality control and quality assurance practices to maintain consistent production standards.
Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to complete jobs correctly and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe work area by following all company safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrate reliable attendance, a positive work ethic, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Skills

Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred, particularly in a production or fabrication environment.
Press brake experience is a plus; willingness to be trained on press brake operation if needed.
Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all tasks.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple machines and processes.
Ability to perform visual inspection and basic quality control checks.
Comfort working with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints for manufacturing and fabrication tasks.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and handle physical demands typical of a manufacturing environment.
Comfort working around machinery, tools, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and moving equipment.
Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in metal fabrication or related mechanical work.
Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance practices in a production environment.
Experience in production within industries such as food or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Experience with hardware insertion equipment such as Haeger machines.
Experience operating laser cutting equipment.
Ability to use inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift based on production needs.
Interest in building hands-on manufacturing experience and learning multiple production processes.

Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced metal fabrication manufacturing setting with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and moving equipment. Noise levels range from moderate to high, and you will spend most of your time on your feet, performing hands-on tasks with machinery and tools. The role operates on a 36-hour workweek over 3 days, providing concentrated shifts in a production-focused environment. You will regularly handle metal components, operate equipment such as press brakes, Haeger hardware insertion machines, and laser cutting systems, and use inspection tools like calipers and micrometers. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moxee, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
