What you’ll do:

As Unity’s Information Technology Director, you’ll lead the strategic vision and daily operations of our IT department. You’ll oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, data systems, and helpdesk support while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. You’ll collaborate across departments to align technology with organizational goals, manage vendor relationships and budgets, and guide a skilled IT team - all in service of providing exceptional care to patients and families.

Position Responsibilities:

· Live organizational values across all working situations

· Recommend IT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements

· Provide technical direction and expertise for core technology systems and infrastructure (servers, networking, devices) for on-premises or cloud-based solutions

· Provide technical direction and expertise for connectivity services and systems – multi-building phone system and services, internet connections and services, and cellular phone/device services

· Provide management, expertise, and support for software application, analytics and AI purchases for Unity and business departments to ensure compliance with copyright laws and legal guidelines

· Act as the IT security officer

· Responsible for management and coordination for regular Security Risk Assessments, Compliance Committee reporting, Emergency Preparedness planning, and IT Disaster Recovery plans

· Provide direction for Information Security Awareness training and phish testing for compliance and overall organizational risk minimization

· Responsible for creation and updating of Unity IT policies and procedures for IT operations and HIPAA compliance

· Develop and maintain IT annual budget, including capital purchasing recommendations in coordination with technology plan and vision

· Develop and maintain external vendor and healthcare partner relationships

· Provide direction for IT Helpdesk services that assist technology users with day-to-day technology needs in our high-level healthcare environment

· Assume full responsibility for leadership and development of the IT team, including onboarding, coaching and performance management

· Engage with leadership members to facilitate operational cross-department communication and collaboration, resulting in timely, accurate, positive, respectful and strategic decision making

· Encourage, educate and facilitate the integration of quality, resource management, customer service and empowerment concepts into daily work routine

· Promote Unity in the community through professional organization membership, speaking engagements, networking, etc.

· Perform special tasks and projects as directed by and/or approved by the Executive Director

Requirements:

What you’ll bring:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field required.

2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

3. Minimum of 5 years of leadership and coaching.

4. Proven success in departmental strategy, business continuity, IT security, and financial management.

5. Experience with data analytics oversight is a plus.

6. Experience and/or familiarity with Business Intelligence/Analytics, Cloud Saas Solutions, and electronic medical records as it relates to IT.
