Overview

CTG is looking for a Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in building and maintaining automated testing solutions for IT systems and applications within the banking sector. The ideal candidate combines strong domain knowledge with expertise in automation tools and frameworks to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable software delivery.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web, API, and backend systems.
Implement combinatorial test designs using tools like IGNITE or Hexawise to optimize test coverage.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, supporting Agile and DevOps practices.
Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure testability, data setup, and environment readiness.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues in automated tests, scripts, and test environments.
Develop and execute API tests using tools such as Postman, and automate end-to-end test scenarios.
Maintain knowledge of emerging tools, frameworks, and best practices in test automation and banking IT systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of the banking industry and its IT systems.
Experience with automation tools: Selenium frameworks, Karate, Postman.
Familiarity with combinatorial test design: IGNITE, Hexawise.
Basic proficiency in SQL, Java, or Python.
Understanding of API integration and automated testing of API endpoints.
Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments, with exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
