Qualifications:
- Valid 461 TN SPED License
- Proven experience teaching students in special education settings, preferably with grades 3-8
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt instructional materials to accommodate students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction, support, and advocacy to students with special needs
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Track and evaluate student progress, reporting regularly to families and staff
- Work closely with specialists, therapists, and administrative staff to ensure comprehensive student support
