A rewarding opportunity is available for paraprofessional candidates to provide vital academic and behavioral support to K-12 students in a setting 4 program. This contract role offers a consistent weekday schedule from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday, beginning September 8, 2026, and ending December 7, 2026. Located near Maple Grove, MN, you will make a meaningful impact assisting students who benefit from a supportive and structured learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be “highly qualified” by one of the following:
- Passing the MN Paraprofessional Educator Exam (attach passing test score)
- Completion of at least 60 college credits (attach official transcripts—diplomas and degrees do not fulfill this requirement)
- Resume and highly qualified document (test score or transcripts) must be submitted for consideration
- Experience supporting children or adolescents in educational or behavioral settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and commitment to student growth
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students, reinforcing academic, social, and behavioral goals as outlined by the teaching and support staff
- Assist in implementing individualized instruction and interventions in accordance with students’ IEPs or behavior plans
- Build rapport and establish trust with students to foster engagement and success
- Monitor classroom activities and maintain a safe, inclusive environment
- Collaborate closely with teachers and related service providers
- Participate in training or professional development as directed
Additional Information:
- Candidates selected for this contract may transition to a direct hire role with the school district after the completion of 422 contract hours.
