Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will provide vital support to our legal department and collaborate with other internal teams to ensure smooth project operations. This position offers an opportunity to work in the non-profit sector, contributing to meaningful initiatives while honing your legal expertise.
Responsibilities: • Coordinate and oversee loan closings, including reviewing title policies and drafting loan documentation. • Conduct thorough due diligence for development projects in the closing phase to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Perform research, analyze findings, and prepare detailed reports to support legal processes. • Act as a liaison between the legal department and other internal teams, ensuring effective communication and tracking project progress. • Maintain and update project records, including status reports and closing checklists. • Scan and organize legal documents for secure database storage. • Facilitate the conversion of construction loans into permanent financing. • Handle legal filings and ensure timely submissions. • Manage legal files, both in-house and at offsite storage facilities. • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, mailing, and maintaining department calendars.
The pay range for this position is 25 to 35. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
