The Actors Fund Home, an assisted living, skilled nursing, accredited dementia care and sub-acute rehabilitation center located in Englewood, NJ seeks an Entry-Level Help Desk Support Technician to join our IT team. This role involves providing essential technical assistance and support to end-users, aiding in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Will provide direct support to the nursing team with all EMR related issues. Will primarily support the System Administrator with daily IT related tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide initial technical assistance and support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing basic hardware, software, and connectivity-related inquiries.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot routine technical problems, escalating complex issues to senior IT personnel as needed.
- Install, upgrade, and configure software applications under the guidance of senior team members.
- Document support requests, resolutions, and procedures to build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Learn and adhere to IT. policies, procedures, and best practices within the organization.
- Collaborate with the IT team to contribute to the overall improvement of IT services and operations.
- Support Nurse Call System and Call manager.
- User Account setups and password reset.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant Course work experience in IT Support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10,11.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Such as Office 365, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- May require travel to the regional office in New York (10-15%)
- May require lifting (30-50 lbs) of hardware or other components
- May require early or late hours including some weekend work
- Some occasional evening support when necessary
