IT Program Manager

Location: DMV area

Required: US Citizen/ Permanent Resident

  • Role: Single point of contact for the State; oversee and direct all IT project resources.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage daily project activities.
    • Identify and mitigate issues/risks.
    • Facilitate discussions/meetings (State & Contractor).
    • Ensure project scope, requirements, timeline, and budget are met.
    • Define project plans: critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, acceptance.
    • Apply State SDLC standards.
    • Improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Monitor issues and provide status reports.
    • Document project management artifacts.

Requirements

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related).
    • PMP Certification.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in project management (general).
    • 8+ years managing complex IT development projects.
    • Leadership on 3+ organizational change projects.
    • 5+ years using PMI's PMBoK methodologies.
