- Take a hands-on approach to leading a small team of maintenance workers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the optimal performance of machinery and equipment.
- Schedule and assign maintenance tasks based on priority and urgency, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, including programming and editing PLCs.
- Oversee the maintenance of the facility's infrastructure, including buildings, grounds, and utilities.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute maintenance projects.
- Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Put together project budgets and timelines for needed machine repairs and planed machinery upgrades. Oversee the implementation of said projects from conception through competition.
Job Specifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in programming and editing programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 100 pounds.
