A boutique Boulder-area trust, estate, and tax planning firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with a primary focus on estate and trust administration. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, collaborative team where you will work directly with clients, gain hands-on experience, and grow into advanced estate planning work in Lafayette, CO.

Associate Attorney Tasks & Duties
-
Handle estate and trust administration matters, including preparing: Pleadings, Deeds and assignments, Inventories and Accountings
-
Act as a client-facing attorney with regular communication and meetings, requiring strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Conduct legal research and writing; prepare legal memoranda as needed.

Support senior attorneys with various administrative and planning tasks.

As experience develops, expand into preparing: Highly customized foundational estate planning documents (wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, etc and Advanced estate planning documents, including IDGTs, ILITs, QPRTs, GRATs, and other sophisticated planning vehicles.

Day Shift, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Associate Attorney Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)

JD or LLM graduates with strong academic credentials and 2+ years of work experience in any professional field or newer associates with relevant legal experience.

Experience in estate administration, estate planning, probate, or a financial background is a plus.

Strong leadership qualities, professionalism, and the ability to be self-directed.

Ability to “hit the ground running” and manage responsibilities in a small-firm environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
