Job DescriptionPosition Summary
Within the framework of Seyer Industries, Inc. policies and procedures, the Quality System Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving the company's Quality Management System (QMS). This role reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and provides cross-functional quality system support to ensure compliance with AS9100, Nadcap, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and updating QMS documents such as the Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance to AS9100, Nadcap, and customer requirements.
- Responsible for internal audit program. This includes planning and scheduling internal audits, managing internal auditor training and credentials, writing audit reports, and documenting findings.
- Perform quality contract review on customer purchase orders, as assigned, and capture/flow applicable quality requirements to internal groups to ensure compliance.
- Manage RCCA process by planning/scheduling RCCA sessions, documenting RCCA actions, and following through with RCCA closure by evaluating corrective action effectiveness.
- Host and facilitate on-site external AS9100, Nadcap, and customer auditors, and respond to customer desktop/virtual audit requests, surveys, and checklists.
- Pursue and maintain customer approval for special processes, facility approvals, and other controlled quality plans. Maintain listing of Seyer approvals for internal use.
- Maintain relationship with customer contacts and submit formal communication, such as quality system escapes or other QMS-related issues.
- Assist Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, Production, and other key areas with special projects as assigned.
- Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, and Production.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Seyer's Quality Management System in alignment with aerospace industry standards (AS9100).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and conform to Seyer Industries Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
