Compensation: $225,000 – $260,000, depending on experience

About the Role:
Direct Counsel is seeking a Global Mobility & Migration Associate to join a leading international law firm in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience advising clients on the full spectrum of U.S. employment-based immigration matters. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to grow their practice within a sophisticated, team-oriented environment that offers exposure to high-profile, multinational clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise corporate clients on U.S. immigration strategy and compliance

  • Prepare and manage filings for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, and other nonimmigrant visa categories

  • Oversee PERM labor certification applications and employment-based immigrant petitions

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams on case strategy and execution

  • Stay current on immigration law and policy developments

Qualifications:

  • J.D. earned between 2022 and 2024

  • Admission to a U.S. jurisdiction required (D.C. preferred)

  • 1–3 years of employment-based immigration experience in a law firm setting

  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $225,000 – $260,000, commensurate with experience
