Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our team in Long Valley, NJ. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and Paralegal while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and filings
- Maintain and organize client files and legal records
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails
- Schedule meetings
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive Contract and client information
- Transcribe dictation
- Ensuring all Legal documentation related to a project has been received
- Interaction with Project Management & Sales regarding ongoing projects
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant, or administrative professional preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional demeanor and attention to detail
- Knowledge of legal terminology is preferred
