Job Description
Rexley LLC is seeking two experienced IT Help Desk Specialists to support a Congressional support agency in Washington, DC. This is a high-visibility, on-site role supporting roughly 275 staff across a modern, security-conscious environment spanning macOS, Windows, and mobile platforms.
The Role
You will join a two-person team providing advanced front-line and Tier II technical support: deploying, securing, and troubleshooting endpoint technology, while also handling identity and access management work that goes well beyond typical help desk duties. You will mentor Tier I staff, build documentation, and coordinate closely with Network Operations, Cloud, and Cybersecurity teams to keep a demanding, security-focused environment running smoothly.
What You'll Do
• Deploy and administer endpoints across Windows, macOS, and mobile (iOS/Android), including imaging, patching, and MDM enrollment through tools like JAMF, Microsoft Intune, Ivanti, or KACE
• Manage identity and access, including Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory administration, MFA troubleshooting, and AWS-integrated identity support
• Diagnose complex issues using system logs (Windows Event Viewer, macOS Console) and apply independent judgment to identify root causes
• Support security operations, coordinating with vulnerability management and monitoring functions and applying Zero Trust principles
• Mentor Tier I staff, reviewing escalations and building knowledge base articles and SOPs
• Coordinate across teams, including the Service Desk, Network Operations, Cloud Services, and C.ybersecurity
• Maintain asset security, including encrypted data handling and certified drive sanitization and destruction
• Support incident response for outages and emergencies, and contribute to imaging and automation strategy
Required Qualifications:
• Enterprise-level experience administering both macOS and Windows environments, including imaging, deployment, and security baseline compliance
• Hands-on MDM/endpoint tool experience, in any combination of JAMF, Microsoft Intune, Ivanti, or KACE
• Identity and access management experience, including Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory and MFA
• Strong troubleshooting skills, with real comfort working directly in system logs to diagnose root causes
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document procedures clearly and mentor junior staff
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or H-1B status, with the ability to pass an FBI criminal background check and be fingerprinted at U.S. Capitol Police headquarters
• Willingness to work on-site, five days a week, in Washington, DC
Preferred Qualifications:
• Deep Apple/JAMF administration experience (device enrollment, FileVault, configuration profiles)
• Deep identity/cloud administration experience (Entra ID architecture, AWS-integrated identity, Zero Trust implementation)
• Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus
• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Relevant certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate, Apple Certified IT Professional, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher, ITIL Foundation, or Certified SysOps Administrator Associate
• Prior experience supporting a legislative branch agency or similarly high-trust federal environment
Further Position Details:
Location: On-site, Washington, DC, with occasional work at facilities in Manassas, VA and Ashburn, VA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional after-hours support for outages or emergencies
