Job Description
As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct visible, unarmed patrols and routine rounds to help identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, so you may patrol across larger areas while supporting access control, incident documentation, and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and loading dock activity by observing incoming and outgoing trucks, trailers, and deliveries, and by verifying authorization in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate and completing required notifications.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 or more years of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
