The IT Technician II role will support the day-to-day IT operational activities and user hardware setups within our New York, NY office while also resolving technical issues across multiple offices. This role requires strong communication skills, hardware and software diagnostic skills, independent problem-solving and must be able to implement technical solutions under minimal supervision. This role will also include hardware and software setups for new hires using the existing processes. We are looking for someone that doesn’t just apply a temporary fix but will investigate recurring issues and identify the root of the issue while finding a permanent solution.
Responsibilities:
- Promptly respond to IT related support requests from PVEDI employees in a professional and service-oriented manner.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve IT issues related to network, hardware and software.
- Assist in onboarding IT support and ongoing training for PVEDI employees on IT systems, hardware and software.
- Assists with the implementation of new technology, processes and project work related to growing the technology infrastructure of the organization.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory.
- Provides recommendations to the organization regarding hardware and software technologies and how these technologies can assist the business in a proactive manner.
- Develops and maintains information architectures (data, application, network) ensuring the system is online daily.
- Coordinate Vendor Support and maintain hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of IT operations processes.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation for system configurations, processes and technical procedures.
