Job Description

Job DescriptionLHH has partnered with a large and prestigious nonprofit organization to identify a Workday Adaptive Administrator! This fully remote opportunity involves owning, administering, and enhancing the Workday Adaptive Planning platform to support FP&A operations. The position combines system configuration, data management, integrations, end-user support, and ongoing process improvement.

Core Responsibilities

System Administration & Configuration

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Workday Adaptive Planning, managing setup, data accuracy, model structure, and efficient system performance.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Build and maintain planning models, including dimensions, levels, versions, accounts, and organizational structures.
  • Configure standard, modeled, and cube sheets, assumptions, formulas, and planning structures for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity through import/export oversight and validation rules.
  • Perform system monitoring, maintenance, updates, and patch management.
  • Maintain documentation and follow formal change-management protocols.
  • Partner with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure configurations align with business needs.

2. Integrations & Automation

  • Build and maintain integrations with ERP and HRIS systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday HCM, UKG, SuccessFactors).
  • Use ETL tools, scripts, or integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi) to automate data flows.
  • Support connectivity with revenue systems, data warehouses such as Snowflake, and vendor-provided connectors.

3. Support & Training

  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Create and deliver training sessions and documentation for end users.
  • Work cross-functionally using tools like Confluence, Slack, Teams; manage issues using Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk.
  • Utilize Office Connect to support reporting and dashboard connections.

4. Process Improvement & Enhancements

  • Evaluate current planning workflows to identify bottlenecks or opportunities for automation.
  • Translate business requirements into updated configurations, custom sheets, allocation logic, scenario planning features, and version control.
  • Standardize processes, document best practices, and promote consistent model-building methods.
  • Stay current with Adaptive Planning updates and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Gather user feedback and monitor performance to refine the system and improve user experience.
  • Support change management by communicating updates and training on new features.

5. System Enhancements

  • Participate in upgrades, testing, QA, and deployment of new features.
  • Recommend improvements based on system performance trends.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, IS, CS, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Workday Adaptive Planning (or similar EPM) experience.
  • Strong FP&A process knowledge and financial modeling experience.
  • Experience with data integration tools, SQL/Python scripting, and ERPs (NetSuite, Workday Financials).
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development tools.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $56.00 per hour
