Job Title: Entry Level Associate Attorney – Plaintiff’s Personal Injury

Job Summary:
Mann Law, a dedicated and client-focused plaintiff’s personal injury law firm, is seeking a driven and compassionate Entry Level Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This position is ideal for a recent law school graduate or newly licensed attorney who is passionate about advocating for injury victims and eager to gain courtroom and litigation experience. To excel in this position, you will require a strong work ethic; a desire to zealously represent clients in and out of the courtroom; and exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail, excellent research and analytical skills, and the ability to think critically are crucial. We value attorneys who are highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a caseload efficiently. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is also vital in our supportive and collaborative company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all phases of personal injury cases from intake to resolution, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death claims
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and demand packages
- Participate in client interviews, case evaluations, and preparation of medical chronologies
- Prepare and respond to discovery, subpoenas, and settlement correspondence
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and mediations under attorney supervision
- Support trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness prep, and courtroom logistics
- Maintain regular and compassionate communication with clients regarding case updates and next steps
- Work closely with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and settlement negotiations
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Maine
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills with proficiency in legal research software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously
- Passion for helping injured clients and a commitment to client service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in personal injury law (e.g., clinic, internship, or law clerk role)
- Familiarity with personal injury case management software (Clio)
