We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to become an integral part of our team at Express Hardware located in Elsa, TX! You will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers in finding the right products, promoting sales, maintaining store cleanliness, assisting with maintaining inventory, and fostering a safe and positive shopping environment.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and identify customer needs
- Efficiently load customer purchases, such as lumber, cement, plywood, insulation, and blocks, into their vehicles
- Explain products and services to customers
- Monitor inventory to ensure products are correctly stocked
- Enter and process customer orders
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual Required: English and Spanish
- Ability to lift 95 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, paint, tools, etc...
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build rapport with customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of hardware products, including tools, plumbing, electrical, and general hardware items.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items over 95 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Availability:
Up to 30 hours a week
Monday to Saturday, 8:00am - 5:30pm
