About This Role:

The Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for designing and implementing robust cybersecurity solutions to protect the organization's digital and physical assets. This role involves developing security architectures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The Cybersecurity Architect will collaborate with various departments to integrate security measures into business processes and software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain security architectures that align with the organization's strategic direction.
  • Utilize advanced security tools to support the Information Technology team in addressing user issues.
  • Collaborate with other Cybersecurity Team members to implement and manage endpoint protection, vulnerability management, SIEM, phishing testing, and network access control solutions.
  • Keep project teams informed about the status of security measures.
  • Recommend design and process improvements for the security of software applications and activities.
  • Research, analyze, create, and maintain applicable security policies and procedures for the company's software applications.
  • Ensure compliance with NCUA regulations.
  • Monitor metrics to ensure application performance is acceptable.
  • Propose performance improvement strategies.
  • Support and troubleshoot security solutions.
  • Ensure that applications have strong data encryption in place.
  • Analyze security trends and provide expected results of recommended changes.
  • Proactively research emerging cyber threats and apply analytical understanding of hacker methodologies and tactics, system vulnerabilities, and key indicators of attacks and exploits.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and lead special projects as assigned.

Who you are:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of a breadth of information technologies and information security topics.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a planned or emergency basis with the rest of the team to perform upgrades or respond to active threats.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity threats, defenses, motivations, and techniques.
  • Preferred 3-5 years of related cyber threat intelligence and information security experience.
  • Preferred knowledge in the Financial Services industry.
  • Work environment (e.g., hybrid with a minimum requirement of 3 days in the office per week
  • Information Security related certifications a plus.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary/hourly range for this position is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential incentives. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part is any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
