Job Description
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6–8 trucks and trailers
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) and DOT inspections
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, HVAC, brake, suspension, engine, exhaust, and after-treatment systems
- Repair or replace components including brakes, belts, water pumps, transmissions, tires, lift-gates, and emissions systems
- Utilize computer diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues
- Open, update, and close repair orders using a company-issued tablet or device
- Accurately complete DOT forms, inspection reports, and repair documentation
- Obtain parts from approved vendors and manage inventory as needed
- Perform post-repair testing and test drives to confirm proper operation
- Maintain a high standard of safety, quality, and workmanship
- Perform other related duties as assigned
