Compensation: $60.00 - $65.00 / Hourly / W2

Job Description:

Addison Group is looking for a Web Solutions Project Manager that will provide critical support to the TechOps team in the sustainment, stability, and evolution of our clients public facing web presence and related digital platforms. This role will be the primary representative for the TechOps team in the procurement of a CMS development team, for the discreet piece of work of standing up a new CMS for the organization. This role must ensure high availability, secure operations, and forward looking technical oversight across current and future web and CMS environments. The role requires close collaboration with the Digital Experience team, including cross team alignment on UX, accessibility, technical workflows, and platform governance. The Web Technical Lead will work jointly with Digital Experience to ensure that the CMS rebuild, portal initiatives, and ongoing web operations support both technical and experience centric objectives.


Duties and Responsibilities:

CMS Project Leadership & Vendor Management

• Lead the end-to-end CMS implementation, including planning, execution, and delivery

• Manage external development vendors, ensuring accountability for timelines, milestones, and deliverables

• Define project scope, roadmap, and priorities in alignment with business objectives

• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and progress tracking

• Identify risks, resolve blockers, and ensure smooth project execution


Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the primary liaison between Digital Experience, Marketing, and technical teams

• Translate business requirements into actionable technical direction for vendors

• Ensure CMS capabilities support content workflows, UX, and organizational goals

• Maintain alignment across stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle


Platform Oversight & Quality Assurance

• Validate vendor deliverables through structured QA and acceptance testing processes

• Ensure platform meets standards for performance, security, and scalability

• Oversee staging, testing, and deployment processes to minimize production risk

• Monitor vendor output to ensure high-quality, stable releases


Technical Oversight (Light Hands-On)

• Provide high-level guidance on CMS architecture, integrations, and best practices

• Review code at a high level when necessary to ensure quality and alignment

• Support troubleshooting across CMS, integrations, and hosting environments

• Maintain awareness of AWS infrastructure and web platform performance considerations


Documentation & Governance

• Develop and maintain project documentation, workflows, and operational runbooks

• Establish standards for vendor engagement, CMS governance, and deployment practices

• Ensure consistency in processes across teams and vendors


Success in This Role Looks Like

• Kentico CMS is delivered and launched successfully on schedule

• Vendor is effectively managed with clear accountability and high-quality outputs

• Strong alignment between business needs and technical delivery

• Platform is stable, secure, and supports content and user experience goals

Ad Hoc

• Provide additional support across web platform operations, vendor coordination, or documentation as needed


Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Proven experience leading CMS implementations with a strong focus on project management and vendor oversight

• Experience managing third-party development teams and driving delivery outcomes

• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, Kentico, or similar

• Willingness to learn and work within Kentico if no prior experience is present

• Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) for oversight and QA purposes

• Experience working in AWS-hosted environments or similar cloud platforms

• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, release management, and deployment coordination

• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, UX, and content teams

• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences


Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Web Development, or related field or equivalent experience

• Experience leading web or CMS projects with vendor-supported delivery models

• Experience working in cloud-hosted environments with understanding of performance, security, and uptime considerations

• Prior exposure to CMS migrations or rebuilds strongly preferred
