Responsibilities

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic B to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in West Dundee, IL.

Shift: Full-Time l Midday-Monday-Friday 12:00PM-8:30PM
Pay: $25.00-$29.00/HR based on experience/qualifications

Incentive Pay-$1.00 additionally with active license CDL A or B-Not required for role

Position Responsibilities:

  • The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed
  • As the Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance
  • You will inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration
  • You will use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
  • You will examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1 to 2 plus years of related experience
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
  • Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles

Preferred Education and Experience:
