HealthYes Staffing Network is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a permanent, hospital-employed position with a major regional medical center in Southeast Alabama, near the Florida Panhandle and Southwest Georgia.

This is a high-acuity Emergency Medicine opportunity with approximately 60,000 annual emergency department visits, Level II trauma capabilities, comprehensive specialty coverage, and a major emergency department expansion underway.

Practicing Emergency Medicine physicians, current fellows, and residents completing training in 2027 or 2028 are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat emergency department patients across the lifespan
  • Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions
  • Stabilize patients experiencing cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and traumatic emergencies
  • Perform emergency procedures appropriate to training and clinical privileges
  • Coordinate admissions, transfers, consultations, and discharge planning
  • Collaborate with trauma, cardiology, neurology, surgery, hospitalist, critical care, and other specialty teams
  • Work effectively with advanced practice providers, nurses, technicians, and emergency department staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation
  • Support efficient patient flow and emergency department throughput
  • Participate in patient-safety, quality-improvement, and performance initiatives

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency
  • Board certified or genuinely board eligible through ABEM or AOBEM
  • Active Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Current clinical certifications and credentials required for Emergency Medicine practice
  • Strong emergency procedural and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-based environment
  • Practicing physicians and new graduates considered
  • Residents completing Emergency Medicine training in 2027 or 2028 are welcome to apply
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Compensation

The published base rate begins at approximately $220 per hour, with additional earning potential through shift differentials, bonuses, and incentives.

Based on an average of 14 monthly shifts consisting of 9- and 10-hour shifts, estimated annual base compensation is approximately $333,000–$370,000, before differentials and incentive compensation.
