Hybrid Senior SQL Server Database Administrator opening in the St. Louis area for a hands-on DBA who thrives on performance tuning, high availability, and solving complex production issues. This role is heavily focused on optimizing enterprise SQL Server environments, improving query performance, and ensuring uptime across critical systems.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of SQL Server administration in a high-availability enterprise environment
- Deep experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis
- Strong T-SQL skills, including stored procedures and complex query troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups, clustering, and HA/DR strategies
- Experience managing mission-critical production databases
- Ability to work independently and drive technical improvements
Responsibilities:
- Own performance tuning efforts across production SQL Server environments
- Analyze and rewrite complex SQL queries to improve efficiency and reduce resource consumption
- Evaluate execution plans, indexing strategies, and server-level configurations to drive performance gains
- Implement and support high availability solutions including AlwaysOn Availability Groups, clustering, and failover strategies
- Troubleshoot production incidents and partner with development teams to resolve root cause issues
- Manage upgrades, patching, and database changes with minimal downtime
- Design, maintain, and test backup and disaster recovery processes
