Thrive in a contract position, working onsite near Aurora, CO, and help transform the academic journey for students with Significant Support Needs (SSN). With a manageable caseload of 11 students and collaborative environment, you'll have the resources and support you need to succeed.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education (SPED) teaching license (required)
- Experience supporting students with significant learning and behavioral needs preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Skilled in adapting curriculum and fostering inclusive practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Familiarity with state and district-specific requirements or willingness to learn
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to students with SSN
- Collaborate closely with support staff, families, therapists, and administrators to ensure each student’s success
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in alignment with district and state guidelines
- Track student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed
- Inspire a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture
- Provide ongoing communication and support to families, promoting partnership and engagement
