Responsibilities:

• Advise on complex legal issues related to insurance policies and regulations within the financial services sector.

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategies that align with insurance laws and compliance standards.

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support organizational decision-making and policy development.

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents relevant to insurance and financial services.

• Monitor and interpret changes in insurance-related laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

• Represent the organization in discussions with regulatory bodies and industry associations.

• Provide counsel on risk management strategies and legal implications of business operations.

• Support the organization in addressing disputes, litigation, and other legal proceedings related to insurance matters.

• Build relationships with external stakeholders, including insurance regulators and industry experts.

• Contribute to thought leadership by publishing articles or participating in industry panels on insurance policy issues.

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Extensive experience in insurance law, either in-house, with a law firm, or as a regulator.
• Strong background in drafting and negotiating legal documents related to insurance policies and regulations.
• Familiarity with state insurance regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills, with a focus on complex insurance issues.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey legal concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated experience in handling regulatory interactions and compliance matters within the insurance sector.
