Job Description
We are seeking two highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics/Technicians to join our team. This position offers a first shift opportunity with ample overtime available. Mechanics will work in both shop and field environments, troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and identify and address Service Center hazards.
- Collaborate with the Service Center Supervisor and review work orders.
- Inspect equipment to identify service or repair needs.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
- Test components using diagnostic devices.
- Disassemble units to inspect for wear and repair.
- Follow manufacturer documents and checklists for thorough maintenance.
- Test-drive equipment post-maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
- Complete service records and tag equipment/tools.
- Respond to emergency calls outside normal business hours.
- Maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
Essential Skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues on heavy equipment.
- Basic understanding of equipment operation.
- Experience in hydraulic repair.
- Skills in diesel engine and electrical troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Automotive maintenance training and experience.
- Experience with small tools and light/heavy equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including typing, email, and internet use.
- Problem-solving and mechanical reasoning abilities.
- Ability to interpret service manuals and schematics.

Work Environment
This hybrid role involves work both in the shop and in the field. Candidates must have a valid driver's license to travel as needed. Work conditions include frequent indoor work, periodic outdoor exposure, and infrequent travel. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding role involving lifting, standing, and manual dexterity.

This is a Permanent position based out of Davidson, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
