Job description:
GoWork Staffing is currently hiring an experienced and dependable Saw Machine Operator for
one of our established metal manufacturing clients in Bensalem, PA.
This position is responsible for operating manual and CNC saw equipment to accurately cut
aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal alloys according to customer specifications. This is a
great opportunity for someone with machine operation, manufacturing, metal cutting, or
production experience who is comfortable working with measurements and quality inspection
tools.
Schedule
Training Schedule:
New Cut Operators will typically train Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM before transitioning to
their assigned shift.
Day Shift:
Typically 4–5 days per week, working until approximately 6:00–7:00 PM. Schedules may include
Saturday or Sunday.
Evening Shift:
Typically Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM–3:00 AM.
Responsibilities
Operate manual and/or CNC saw machines to cut material according to customer
specifications.
Read job specifications and determine appropriate machine adjustments and material
requirements.
Measure finished materials using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
Work with fractions, decimals, and basic dimensional tolerances.
Monitor machine operation to maintain cutting accuracy and product quality.
Continually check workpiece dimensions throughout the cutting process.
Perform minor machine maintenance, including oiling equipment, dies, and workpieces
as needed.
Work closely with production supervisors to ensure customer requirements are met.
Prioritize work orders to meet production and delivery deadlines.
Follow all established safety and quality procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
Previous machine operation, saw operation, manufacturing, or metal fabrication
experience is preferred.
Strong math and measuring skills, including fractions and decimals.
Experience using calipers is highly preferred.
Ability to understand measurements and dimensional tolerances.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretch throughout the shift.
Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.
