Title: Commissioning Specialist
Salary: $90,000 - $95,000
Location: Brentwood, TN - Work from home 3 days a week - Relocation Offered
Position Overview
The Commissioning Specialist is responsible for ensuring that building systems operate efficiently and in accordance with design specifications. This role involves the management of commissioning processes for various building systems to optimize performance, enhance occupant comfort, and ensure energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the commissioning process for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial buildings.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, including testing protocols and documentation.
- Conduct performance testing of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, and safety systems.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure that systems are designed for optimal performance and compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning reports and documentation for all systems commissioned.
- Coordinate with contractors and engineering teams during construction and post-construction phases to resolve issues and ensure smooth system operations.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to building automation and control systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning or building operations.
- Strong knowledge of building automation and control systems, including DDC controls.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations, as well as LEED certification processes.
- Certification as ACG, CxT, or CxA is highly preferred.
- Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm systems, and emergency power systems.
- Experience with lighting controls and energy management strategies.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
