Job Title: Medical Front Desk Associate
Location: Monroeville, PA (with ~10% travel to nearby office)
Pay: $18-$21/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Must have open availability between 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (end time varies, but is full time, 40 hours per week)
Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Medical Front Desk Associate to join a busy healthcare/ophthalmology office in Monroeville, PA. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out. No ophthalmology experience is required!
Key Responsibilities
- Open and close the office daily
- Collect and review pre-files (records from referring offices)
- Assess patient timelines and urgency based on provided information
- Perform patient check-in and check-out
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with inquiries
- Schedule appointments efficiently
- Collect payments, including copays and self-pay balances
Qualifications
- Previous medical front desk experience, especially check-in/check-out, is required
- Strong communication skills with a pleasant phone demeanor
- Comfortable using computers and office systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- No prior ophthalmology experience needed
Schedule Details
- Start time: 7:30 AM (arrive before patients to open clinic)
- End time varies, must have availability up until 6:00 PM
- Must be flexible to stay later when needed for patient care or clinic closing
Additional Details
- Dress code: Scrubs
- Approximately 10% travel required to a nearby office location
