A multinational automotive company with a facility in the Shelby Township, MI area is currently seeking several Automotive Project Engineers for Direct Hire opportunities with their growing team. Project Engineer rates are anticipated to be competitive salaried based on each candidate’s experience and education. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. Overtime is paid at premium rates over 40 hours. We offer excellent benefits including great medical, dental, 401k, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualified Project Engineers will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

2–5+ years of recent/relevant experience with automotive project engineering and component development
2+ years of recent/relevant experience with CAD design and project management tools is highly preferred
Experience managing full project lifecycle from concept through production
Experience supporting prototype development, testing, and validation
Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
Experience with cost control, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong customer and supplier communication experience
Must be able to travel up to 10–20% for customer and supplier support as needed
A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field is a benefit but not essential; equivalent automotive project engineering and technical experience will be strongly considered
Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas considered)
Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, references, etc.
