The Materials/Central Supply role at Pine Creek is pivotal in ensuring the seamless management and distribution of medical and operational supplies within the facility. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating supply orders, and ensuring timely delivery to various departments to support uninterrupted patient care and operational efficiency. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to track supplies, manage stock rotation, and comply with regulatory standards related to storage and handling. Collaboration with clinical and administrative teams is essential to anticipate supply needs and resolve any discrepancies or shortages promptly. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to the overall functionality and safety of the healthcare environment by ensuring that all necessary materials are available, properly stored, and efficiently distributed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. / (CNA Experience Preferred)
- Previous experience in materials management, central supply, or inventory control, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lift and move supplies as required and work on feet for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in sterile processing or materials management (e.g., Certified Materials & Resources Professional - CMRP).
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements related to supply chain and infection control.
- Advanced proficiency with inventory management systems and data analysis tools.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of medical and operational supplies throughout the facility.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic tracking systems and conduct regular stock audits to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to place orders, track shipments, and resolve any delivery issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and infection control standards related to supply handling and storage.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to forecast supply needs and respond promptly to urgent requests.
