- SANTIN AUTO AND TRUCK REPAIR CENTER is located at 9822 Perrin Beitel Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78217. We are looking for Diesel Mechanics and Auto & Truck Technicians to join our team. Our ideal candidate has to be a hardworking team player, dependable and reliable with your own transportation and tools.
Basic Responsibilities:
Experienced DIESEL MECHANIC-The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting and diagnosing vehicles assigned to them and being able to work closely with service advisor to address issues needing repair or maintenance on assigned vehicle. Also being able to perform tasks in a timely manner and log parts and labor as needed for all work orders assigned such as the Commercial Diesel Trucks, forklifts, or tractor trailers worked on. Having Great Customer Service in mind is very important for our customers and co-workers. Always be a team player!
Experienced AUTO & TRUCK TECHNICIAN-The Technician is responsible for inspecting and diagnosing vehicles assigned to them and follow through with service advisor discussing all needed repairs or maintenance checklist.
Once repairs are approved by customer of needed repairs or maintenance, them the technician will repair or replace any auto parts needed in a timely manner. Having Great Customer Service in mind is very important for our customers and co-workers. Always be a team player!
- Examine cars based on customer's concern and determine appropriate repairs needed
- Being able to communicate and explain parts and labor hours to complete repairs
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, checking fluid levels and rotating or replacing tires.
- Replace or repair worn parts as needed with commercial account vehicles.
- Maintain your work area clean.
- To also include being able to do Roadside Assistance if needed and get customer back on the road safely.
- Be able to use a computer when needed for specifications of a vehicle and/or diagnostic equipment.
Qualifications
- Experienced Auto Technician 3+ years. Pay commensurate with experience and/or certifications.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of tools and equipment being used to repair vehicles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and critical thinking.
- ASE certifications is a plus.
- Able to diagnose issues with vehicles correctly.
- Gas or Diesel experience is a must, no job training available.
- Have your own Tools.
