Description

The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the Bank’s physical security programs to protect employees, customers, facilities, and assets, while serving as the primary liaison with regulators, law enforcement, vendors, and senior leadership on security-related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the bank’s enterprise security program, including physical and information security controls.
  • Conduct periodic security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies aligned with the bank’s risk appetite.
  • Directly handles issues related to robberies, bomb threats, fires, accidents, or other related security, safety or business disruption issues’ acts a liaison between Bank personnel and state and federal law enforcement authorities.
  • Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with FFIEC guidelines and bank policies.
  • Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response planning.
  • Oversee security systems for all branch locations and facilities, including alarms, access controls, and surveillance systems; collaborate with departments across the Bank.
  • Manage vendor relationships for security services such as alarm monitoring and armored car providers.
  • Investigate security incidents and develop corrective action plans.
  • Prepare security-related reports for management and regulators.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness and robbery prevention training.
  • Manages staff of security guards, couriers and office staff.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, information security, business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Security-related experience, preferably in banking or a regulated financial environment.
  • Knowledge of physical security controls and banking regulations; Ability to translate security risks into business-focused recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: including professional and clear verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Advanced planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementation skills with little or no supervision.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Professional office setting with moderate noise.
  • Availability outside of normal business hours may be required during security incidents or emergencies.
  • Ability to sit and stand to extended lengths of time
  • Ability to travel to branches, off-site training, and/or meetings if required.
