Job Description:

NDi is seeking an experienced IT Services Deployment Analyst to support the integrity and smooth operation of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) IT production environment. This role involves ample planning, scheduling, communication, and deployment of releases from the test environment to live production, keeping the production environment protected and efficient. The I&O Deployment Management Branch at the FAA protects the integrity of the IT production environment through effective planning, scheduling, communication, and deployment of releases. Our mission is to maintain a high-quality production environment while ensuring successful transitions from testing to live deployments, while enhancing the efficiency and reliability of FAA's IT services.

Requirements:

  • U.S Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • This position is 5/days onsite in Washington D.C.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, and/or computer science-related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of IT Services Deployment experience or related

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing release management policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication, training, and execution of FAA IT Services release processes.
  • Maintain physical control over definitive copies of software and hardware components.
  • Support deployment of hardware and software upon government direction.
  • Ensure change packages include necessary documentation and training for successful deployments.
  • Work with customers to determine deployment mechanisms and actions.
  • Coordinate and schedule changes with customers and stakeholders.
  • Assist in final production readiness testing.
  • Support management of pilot or key-site test phases of deployment.
  • Support Final Readiness Review activities.
  • Support release of communications to IT staff and customers.
  • Support sustainment of client patching services (including Microsoft, Adobe, Chrome).
  • Support verification and reporting of deployment success, compliance, and metrics.
  • Support reporting of successful deployments and close change releases.
  • Support development and maintenance of the release calendar, advancing towards a forward schedule of change.
