Field Service Engineer

$35–$40/hour | Contract
80% Travel (Must Have Passport & Ability to Travel to Canada)
About the Role
Reliance One is hiring a Field Service Engineer for one of our clients. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced robotic technology while supporting installations, troubleshooting, and service repairs across North America. Benefits start day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support across multiple teams, including hotline assistance and training support.
- Support phone pager assignments and shift schedule coverage for service needs.
- Deliver prompt, professional, and courteous solutions to customer issues.
- Troubleshoot problems and secure necessary parts for repairs.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, rework, and retrofits on products and equipment.
- Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and on time.
- Coordinate activities, parts, and schedules with project management to ensure customer satisfaction and accurate billing.
- Follow engineering guidelines and standardized procedures to meet specifications and regulations.
- Procure supplies, tooling, and associated installation equipment.
- Support installation, startup, and debugging of systems and equipment.
- Prepare service quotes and close out reports.
- Travel to customer sites as required (approximately 80%).
Must-Haves
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical education, or relevant equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in robotics integration, installation, or service repairs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Comfortable working independently in a highly autonomous environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (including to Canada).
