This Cashier position is responsible for:
Responsibilities
- Greeting each customer with a smile and assisting them with their food selections. Be prepared to offer suggestions or to answer their questions about the menu or services provided by Zeeland Street.
- Learning the breakfast and lunch menus in order to provide additional information or to answer questions for the customer.
- Correctly inputting orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system to assure kitchen staff is able to prepare each order quickly and without errors.
- Consistently cleaning the counters and guest areas to make sure they are sanitary and organized. This includes our patio and restrooms.
- Keeping our guest self service stations sanitary, well stocked, and easily accessible.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of cash handling, customer service, restaurant OR hospitality experience.
- Outgoing and friendly personality.
- Willingness to learn new systems and procedures.
Hourly Pay/ Hours
- $8 - 8.50 per hour + tips; Averages out approximately $10.00 per hour
- Typically 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Mondays - Saturdays; Closed on Sundays)
