The ServiceNow Administrator/Developer is responsible for the administration, configuration, development, and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures optimal performance, supports business process automation, and delivers scalable, secure solutions aligned with governance, compliance, and service management standards.

Engagement Details

Key Responsibilities

· Administer and maintain ServiceNow (users, roles, groups, ACLs, licensing).

· Configure and manage system properties, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and data policies.

· Monitor platform health, performance, and diagnostics; troubleshoot and resolve issues.

· Manage upgrades, patches, and release activities, including validation and regression testing.

· Ensure platform security and compliance with governance standards.

· Implement and enforce ServiceNow best practices to ensure upgrade-safe, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

· Define solution scope and objectives; produce detailed build specifications and technical documentation.

· Develop and customize solutions using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions.

· Build and maintain custom tables and scoped applications; develop Service Portal widgets when needed.

· Configure Service Catalog items and workflows; develop dashboards, reports, and performance analytics.

· Implement assignment rules (FIFO/LIFO), SLAs, and case routing.

· Support Agile delivery by assisting with user story creation, grooming, coding, QA, and documentation.

· Design and maintain integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, and JSON.

· Develop REST APIs and inbound and outbound integrations; automate processes using Flow Designer and Integration Hub.

Minimum Qualifications

· 3 plus years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience

· 3 plus years of IT application solution delivery experience

· Strong experience translating requirements into technical designs, builds, and documentation

· Proven ability to implement ServiceNow best practices and governance standards in production environments

· Platform customization (ServiceNow or similar), 2 years, Required

· Custom application development including Service Portal widget creation, 2 years, Required

· Core applications (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog), 2 years, Required

· JavaScript development (HTML5, Jelly, jQuery, AngularJS), 2 years, Required

· Agile and Scrum implementation, 2 years, Required

· ServiceNow Developer Certification, Required

Highly Desired

· Integrations (SOAP, REST, JSON, JDBC, file imports)

· Integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Apigee

· ServiceNow administration capabilities including CMS, ACLs, workflows, UI actions, UI policies, dictionary, catalog items

· Orchestration and Discovery experience

· Refactoring legacy ServiceNow applications

· ServiceNow instance upgrade experience
