We are seeking experienced onsite Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join a busy multi-specialty physcian group. This position is ideal for an LVN with strong triage, patient communication, Epic, and clinical support experience who enjoys working directly with patients and collaborating with providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct phone and MyChart/virtual triage for patients experiencing acute symptoms or changes in condition.
- Assess patient concerns, use clinical judgment, and determine when symptoms require escalation or provider intervention.
- Manage Epic in-baskets, queues, and patient messages.
- Process prescription refill requests and review medication-related questions and side effects.
- Provide patient education and clear guidance regarding next steps in care.
- Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information in Epic.
- Provide in-clinic clinical support as needed, including phlebotomy and other LVN-level duties.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team.
- One position will support a designated physician, while additional LVNs may float between providers and assist with triage coverage.
Required Qualifications:
- Active LVN/LPN license in good standing through the state of Texas.
- Current BLS certification required - CPR certification alone is not sufficient.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong phlebotomy skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records; Epic experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of LVN experience preferred.
- Previous telehealth or telephone triage experience strongly preferred.
- Ambulatory/clinic experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and patient-facing experience.
- Leadership qualities and ability to work as a supportive team player.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate is a warm, personable, and patient-focused LVN who communicates well, thinks critically, and is comfortable handling patient concerns over the phone and through electronic messaging. Candidates coming from ambulatory, clinic, primary care, or telehealth environments are strongly encouraged to apply.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30-5pm 30 min lunch
Pay Range: $28/hr-$32/hr (Based On Experience) + Full Time Benefits
Start Date & Interview Times: ASAP
Compliance to start employment: Background check, LVN license, drug screen & clinic screens/titers
