Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: QA Inspector, Packaging: M-F 1:30pm - 9:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure that correct components are staged for packaging.
Authorize the start-up of packaging operation.
Check batch record instructions and ensure they are being followed.
Ensure all actions part of packaging process are signed and/or initialed where appropriate.
Monitor and collect data during all phases of packaging for conformance to specifications and procedures.
Inspect all packaging rooms, materials and equipment for accuracy to the batch record instructions.
Ensure packaging process is carried out according to cGMPs.

Critical Operating Relationships

Interact with packaging room operators, packaging supervisors, and QA management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Must be able to stand for extended time intervals during the work shift, bend, and stretch.
Must have good oral communication skills to be able to complete tasks as instructed.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Must be able to perform mathematical calculations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

High School Diploma
Working knowledge of packaging process. Working knowledge of cGMPs.
Ability to write and communicate effectively in English
Efficient In Microsoft Excel
