Great Western Trailer (GWT) is a leader in the semi-trailer sales, service, and rental market, delivering exceptional service across multiple locations. We are currently seeking a driven and experienced Parts and Service Manager to lead our operations in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities
Department Leadership & Planning
-
Oversee all parts and service operations for the Houston location
-
Manage the annual budget and monitor monthly KPIs
-
Lead the development and execution of growth strategies for both parts and service departments
Team Management
-
Hire, train, and manage service and parts personnel
-
Conduct weekly team meetings to drive performance and accountability
Operations Oversight
-
Maintain an organized, priority-based schedule for all service jobs
-
Assign work based on technician strengths and experience
-
Ensure work orders and parts inventory are accurate and up-to-date
-
Manage parts ordering, stock levels, and vendor relationships
Technical Expertise & Safety

Apply knowledge of trailer repair, maintenance, welding, and electrical systems
-
Oversee warranty work and safety programs
-
Maintain tools and shop equipment; plan routine maintenance schedules
Customer Service

Actively engage with customers to assess service quality and needs
-
Promote a service-first culture across both parts and service operations
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a service or parts manager role
-
Demonstrated ability to manage a team and grow business results
-
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
-
Proficient with computers and office/reporting systems
-
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and lift up to 70 lbs
-
Frequent walking, standing, and use of hands and tools
-
Operate forklifts, yard trucks, welding equipment, and other shop tools (certification/training provided)
Work Environment
-
Primarily shop-based with exposure to trailer equipment and parts inventory
-
Use of standard office equipment for administrative duties
-
Some shipping/receiving responsibilities
