Electrical Panel Wirer
Summary
We are looking for an Electrical Panel Wirer to install and connect electrical wiring inside military shelters and equipment. This role involves reading simple blueprints, running wires, installing electrical components, and making sure everything is wired correctly and safely.
Job Responsibilities
- Install and route electrical wiring, cables, and harnesses
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
- Cut, strip, label, and crimp wires using hand and power tools
- Install electrical connectors and cable assemblies
- Assist with fiber optic cable installation
- Test wiring using multimeters and other electrical testing equipment
- Troubleshoot wiring issues and make repairs as needed
- Use hand tools, drills, wire crimpers, and wire-cutting machines
- Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of electrical wiring or assembly experience
- Ability to read basic blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of basic electrical wiring and hand tools
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Vocational electrical training is a plus
- IPC certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain them)
- Must provide basic hand tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hands and tools
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machine noise
- Ability to safely work around electrical equipment and machinery
