Our client, an AI-native legal technology platform, is transforming how complex legal work is executed. Built on use-case-specific legal ontologies, knowledge graphs, and multi-step agentic frameworks, the platform delivers real-time legal analysis and actionable outputs at scale. As the company continues to grow, it is seeking a Frontend Product Engineer to join its engineering team.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to own and shape the frontend experience for a first-of-its-kind legal AI product. You will design, build, and maintain the interfaces that bring advanced AI capabilities to life for users—launching products that directly address real legal workflows and decision-making challenges.
This role is in-person in New York City.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a modern SvelteKit application, owning frontend architecture and component design
- Write clean, type-safe TypeScript across the stack, including reactive UI components and API integrations
- Collaborate closely with product, design, research, and go-to-market teams to translate user needs into polished experiences
- Integrate commercial and custom AI models into intuitive, user-friendly workflows
- Establish frontend patterns and best practices that scale with the team and product roadmap
What Were Looking For
- 2+ years of frontend engineering experience building modern web applications at a STARTUP
- Proficiency in React, Vue, or Svelte (Svelte experience a plus)
- Strong product intuition with the ability to make thoughtful UX tradeoffs independently
- Experience owning features end-to-end, from design collaboration through deployment
- Familiarity with design systems and scalable component architectures
- A strong eye for detail and passion for building high-quality, polished user experiences
Strong Candidates Also Have Experience With
- Building or integrating AI/ML-powered features
- Tailwind CSS and utility-first styling approaches
- Performance optimization and bundle analysis
- Kubernetes-based infrastructure
- Alternative JavaScript runtimes such as Bun
