ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Initiates purchase orders and work authorizations and code them if requested by Superintendent
    • Creates weekly planner as directed by supervisor
    • Co-chairs weekly subcontractor Foreman meetings
    • Is responsible for or assists in site, building, and interior layout
    • Reviews project documents and maintains adherence to plans and specifications
    • Reviews shop drawings for conformance to contract and field conditions
    • Supports and enforces the requirements for jobsite safety. Completes reports as required in the Safety Manual.
    • Assists in full implementation of company safety, risk management, environmental and stormwater programs
    • Assists with development and review of JHAs
    • Effectively assists with material delivery/procurement
    • Creates and maintains GH Phipps’ SDS program
    • Enforces GH Phipps’ Quality Assurance Program
    • Is familiar with coordination with as-built conditions
    • Manages daily timekeeping and proper phase coding
    • Assists supervisor in maintaining as-built drawings and specifications
    • Assists in supervising specific subcontractors’ phase or areas of work directed by supervisor
    • Enforces all aspects of job setup, project meetings, safety, record keeping, quality control, pre-punch and close-out as directed
    • Helps manage the coordination of project personnel activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget
    • Walks the jobsite at least once each day to ensure safety, quality, and job progress
    • Assists with layout and checks for all rough-ins
    • Reviews subcontract agreements and owner contracts
    • Assists Superintendent with constructability
    • Assists with material tracking and procurement
    • Assists with equipment rental tracking and procurement
    • Embraces a lean culture and work environment
    • Mentors and trains direct reports
    • Uses safety equipment as prescribed by company to ensure safety on jobsite
    • As a safety sensitive position, complete adherence to alcohol and drug use policies set by company
    • In-person, predictable attendance at assigned location

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field preferred

EXPERIENCE

Four (4) to six (6) years of general commercial construction experience required

SKILLS

    • Proficient in Procore
    • Proficient in Bluebeam
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Knowledge and use of Primavera 6 and vPlanner
    • Coordination/lift drawings
    • Read and comprehend all disciplines of contract documents

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURES REQUIREMENTS

    • OSHA 30 Certification is required
    • CPR/First Aid Certified

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and communication skills
  • Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens

The salary range for this position is $ 78,500 - $ 86,700 annually and is dependent in experience and title/rank of position offered.
