Job DescriptionProject Coordinator | Kansas City, MO LHH is partnering with a client that is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support construction project operations. This role is critical in ensuring materials and supplies are procured efficiently, tracked accurately, and delivered on time to meet project schedules. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction environments and be comfortable working with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Responsibilities: Project Coordination:
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely execution.
- Communicate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment on project timelines and requirements.
- Maintain project documentation including contracts, permits, RFIs, and change orders.
Purchasing:
- Source and procure construction materials, tools, and equipment in line with project specifications and budget.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve any supply chain issues.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records of materials and equipment across job sites and warehouses.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and loss.
- Coordinate deliveries and ensure timely distribution of materials to job sites.
- Conduct regular audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Administrative Support:
- Prepare reports on project progress, purchasing activity, and inventory status.
- Support budgeting and cost tracking efforts.
- Assist with invoice processing and vendor payments in collaboration with accounting.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination, purchasing, or inventory management.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, tools, and supply chain logistics.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and inventory systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems or procurement platforms.
- Familiarity with OSHA and construction safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Job Details:

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
- Compensation: $25-30ph.
